Overview
Sponge: Photo Video Cleaner helps you review and clean your photo library. We design Sponge to process your photos and videos on your device wherever possible. We do not sell your personal information.
Information Sponge Accesses
With your permission, Sponge can access your photo library so it can identify items such as duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, large videos, and other cleanup suggestions. This access is used to provide the app's core features.
Sponge may also use information provided by Apple, such as purchase and subscription status, to unlock paid features.
On-Device Processing
Sponge operates entirely on-device. No photos, videos, metadata, or personal data are ever uploaded, stored, or processed on external servers.
Photo scanning, duplicate detection, cleanup suggestions, and asset deletion actions happen locally on your iPhone.
Purchases & Subscriptions
Payments, subscriptions, trials, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store. Sponge receives purchase status from StoreKit so the app can unlock Sponge Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the selected plan's price. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Analytics & Attribution
To help us measure and analyze the performance of our marketing campaigns (such as Google Ads), we use third-party mobile attribution services (specifically, AppsFlyer). These services collect anonymous device-level identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier - IDFA), purchase event confirmations, and app usage details to attribute downloads and optimize advertising delivery. We only track this information if you grant permission via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when required to operate the app, comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect our rights and users.
Deleting Photos
When you choose to delete photos or videos, iOS moves them to the Photos app's Recently Deleted album, where Apple controls retention and recovery behavior.
Children
Sponge is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice in the app or on this website.
